Discount Perfume Shops
I was fired for an honest mistake, can I draw unemployment?
Until today, I was a store manager at a up scale gift shop. On the regular, we have a 30% discount on items. The week of Christmas, the company offered a “40% employee appreciation discount”. I purchased two perfumes at 40% off. Apparently, the items weren’t included in the 40% but everything else was.
Here is the thing, I have bought perfume several times before at 30% off…can they terminate me for this? Over just 10%? When they told us it was 40% employee appreciation discount week..
I mean, I truly didn’t know I was not supposed to purchase them at that discount. What can I do?
I live in KY but the corporate office is in TX
